Prayer Requests
Prayer Requests::
Please PRAY for energy and perseverance over the next few days. On top of work, fundraising, and preparing to leave, I am studying hard for my EMT certification test that will take place this Friday.
Please PRAY with me as I ask God to prepare the hearts of the people I will come in contact with this summer.
Please PRAY that my financial support continues to come in. My friends, family, and church have been beyond generous, and I am thankful for that!
Please PRAY for my safety as I travel to Costa Rica.
Above all else, please PRAY that I would allow God to use me in incredible ways. That I would be His tool throughout the summer and that through Christ in me many more will hear the Good News of Jesus Christ!

Who, What, When, Where, and Why!
From June 20th - September 13th I will be serving alongside the Christian Light Foundation of Costa Rica (http://www.clfcostarica.com/) assisting them with the day-to-day ministry, additional service and work projects, as well as the completion of their multiuse building. In addition, I will be working with the visiting teams as they serve the communities of Los Guido, Tejarcillos, and La Carpio.
During this time I also have the opportunity to meet up with a team from CBC in Nicaragua and serve from August 28th - September 10th.This last summer Pastor Josh Hager and myself had the opportunity to meet Santiago, a pastor who was visiting Costa Rica from Nicaragua. Here we will be training local church leaders, ministering to kids, feeding the hungry, and delivering radios and Bibles to some of the most remote regions of the country.
As the trip nears I will continue to post updated information as it becomes available. Also, throughout the duration of me serving I will be posting blogs, pictures, and prayer requests every couple of days. I would like to encourage you to join me on this trip by following the blog.

GO Costa Rica (December 2010)
This year, the Good News of Jesus Christ was shared with over four hundred children and adults, and more than 75 responded to the gospel! We rejoice in all that God has done and will continue to do through the believers at Iglesia Nueva Vida (New Life Church). Their leadership has been tremendously encouraged. Hearts have been made new. Lives have been forever changed!
THANK YOU to all who encouraged, prayed, got their car washed, ate out at Chick-Fil-A, and gave generously so that we could GO!

The Lord asks, "Who will go to the least of these?" As God remains in every aspect of this trip, there will be many opportunities where this team will serve as a mighty tool in His hand to love those who are broken and reach those who are lost…whose mere existence is considered to be none.
During our trip, we will have the opportunity to host three days of street evangelism and Vacation Bible School (VBS), continue working on the massive multi-purpose building with two full days of work projects, and pass out 75+ food bags to various homes in Los Guido. A late night of roller skating (on a tile floor we’re told) with the youth leadership team and celebrating the New Year (dinner, bonfire, and smores) with the church body, are just two activities our team hopes to use as a tool to share the great appreciation we have for the hard work of those involved with the ministry of the New Life Church. In addition, we will also be assisting the New Life Church of Los Guido with weekly activities such as Sunday service, Kid’s Club, and discipleship groups.
Join us and GO!
With your prayers, you GO with us! With your financial support, you GO with us! And with every changed heart, you can rejoice with us!
PRAYER
Please join us in prayer:
That a selfless desire and passion to serve Christ and the people of Costa Rica would be instilled in our team.
That our team would bond together as one and serve with great joy and excitement.
That God’s hand would be a wall of protection around our team, the youth leadership team, and the missionaries as we visit these areas.
That hearts would be made vulnerable to God’s Word and lives would be changed.
That there would be much fruit and growth in the lives of those we meet, as well as the lives of each member of this team.
